Huh? A zone read is exactly an option play. If you think the option is just a QB running left or right followed by a pitch back you don't know what an option offense is.

I'm talking about the traditional option play, out of the I or single back formation. Not a zone read, which is not the traditional option.

What are you talking about? The zone read is the epitome of traditional option plays. Hand off to the dive back or keep it and run. Ya know. Option.

Both are options, he is talking about a speed option:
I formation, both roll out to the end and you either keep it or pitch it

You are talking about an option read / triple option:

Shotgun formation, hand off to back, or take it yourself up the middle or to the outside solo or the triple option and have another back roll out for the possible pitch

do you run the zone read out of the I and single back formation under center? No, you don't. You run it out of shotgun.

You don't run the wishbone or the wing t out of an I Formation either. Does that make the plays run out of those option formations not option plays? And since when is it a prerequisite that you run the option out of an I? The double option, what a zone read is, is pretty much never run out of an I.

I said singleback also. You can run it out of the pistol also. See the problem is you know what I am talking about, you just insist on being a dick.

I hate to be the one to break it to you guys, but JJ IS our best option at QB. But, you won't be satisfied until Lee comes in and loses a game for us. Too bad. It'll probably be a game we could have won.
