You have been around the past 2 seasons in which we have mounted a perfect record early in the season against much easier competition only to be slapped in the face with reality when we finally faced the meat of our SEC schedule? That the problems festering with this team (defense in 08, offense in 09, now offense again in 2010), simply not being addressed properly going all the way back to Spring ball of each year?

Let's blame that on the mascot, why don't we? Phucking stupid tiger.

The man's not getting paid 150K a year. This isn't Louisiana Tech. He's getting nearly $4 million a year.

Earn your goddamn money. You're being paid to figure things out that are horribly wrong (see 08, 09, 10), not simply steer a ship that has all it's parts properly in place (see 05, 06, 07).

I am curious. Since every other position seems to be clicking along just fine, does Miles not earn his $ for that? Is he supposed to go to free agency and pick up another QB?

Exactly who is the position coach for the QBs? Don't gloss over it like you have for 3 years. Who is the phucking QB coach? That guy you still moronically call the wizard?

If Miles is guilty of anything it's not finding a way to get rid of Crowton, once he has displayed no ability to adapt his offense to the limitations of two guys that cannot run the spread option. Miles is also guilty of not taking more control away from Crowton during the game, and sooner. Miles should be overriding this guy all the time.

So yes, Miles does need to earn his $ by taking the game away from the guy you still think is a wizard. :insane: Welcome to your club of one.

I get your point, now refresh my memory on the results again versus Florida, Bama, and Arkansas the past three seasons.

    I would love to say......

That CLM & GC just could not prepare for WVU due to lack of our offense seeing a 3-3-5 and that type of speed around the field.

And that would be an excuse. I will say this, it was apparent that Miles wanted to beat them on the ground, and with basically one back Ripley. There was very little to none in the way of imagination, as for the offensive play calling. By design or by necessity, I'm not sure. I do believe, as has been stated a million times, we have the special teams and defense to win a lot of games, we have the talent on offense to win a lot of games, what we don't have is a QB that will guide us to those wins. If nothing else, Miles needs to just become a smash mouth run game team. Utilizing our stable of backs and blowing up the defense.

UCLA just did it to UT, so why can't we. They didn't use Prince to pass the ball at all. All they did was run, run, run and managed to blow up the #1 run defense in the country. We have so much talent back there we could manage to do the same and win 10+ games. If this isn't going to be our MO then it is time for Miles to look, or at least give a chance, to JL to manage this offense. We have the talent, we just need to get the ball in the right players hands. Of course that also requires that the WR actually catch the damn ball. As has already been stated RR is the only one with NFL hands, and the rest are hurting and already weak element of our game.

JJ or JL I don't care, just do what will make this team, at the very least, appear to be clicking on offense. All of that said, as I mentioned before, 100+ yds in penalties played every bit as much of a stopping block as anything else. This offense could have produced much more if they hadn't been shooting themselves in the foot every other play. We will never know what could have been in that game.

There were at least 4 possible drives killed by stupid penalties. You can't keep putting yourselves in 3 and 8, or worse, situations and expect to have any production. Those fall on the players and the coaches, and have to stop or we will not be able to compete in any of the tough SEC games we have ahead of us.

Ok rant over. Time for me to move onto the UT game.:geaux:

Well at least you're questioning Miles about something.

I'll take that as a small step forward in coming to grips with reality.

    It's a baby step. But it's still a step.

It's not a true option though dude. Hell, on a pass play there is an option to throw the ball to different receivers. A zone read is not a true option.

Either your eyesight is shot or you have no brain. I have criticized Miles when it was due, all the time he has been here. Unlike you, I am also capable of giving him credit for his successes, and that goes quite a bit further than being a good recruiter, and a "good guy".

    You cannot.

And you are still to chickensh!t to answer the question about your "wizard". So explain to me how Miles has interfered with the development of these QBs. I really want to hear it. Does Crowton spend all practice working on quick release, only to have Miles come by and whisper, "don't worry buddy, take all the time you need". Is that how it works?

In 3 years Crowton has had 5 QBs here, and none have propelled this team.
Hatch - Crowton's boy - could run the option, couldn't throw past the line
Lee - can't run the option, can't properly throw vs a defense
JJ - can't run the option, can't properly throw vs a defense
Shepard - can run the option, apparently can't throw vs a defense
Garrett - can't put the fork down and run some laps

Now we are getting Rivers and potentially a Georgia throw away, both of whom are traditional drop back passers. What are the odds Crowton will teach them to run the spread option? Every other position coach gets blasted here except the obvious one. Crowton gets blasted for his pay calling, which sucks ass, but the real damage he has done is ruining 5 QBs in 3 years, with two more on the way.

How's that for some reality? Come get you a big slice of it, since I know you won't dare to answer the real questions contained within this post.

Let me spin it for you. Maybe Miles is a freakin awesome coach for going 13-5 with Jordan Jefferson as his quarterback.
