i was going to quote your first paragraph and mention that i agreed. then i remembered that i wrote that. i have no idea what youre saying about drew brees and all that other stuff. recap: you said he couldnt read sec defenses. i pointed out that he did it better then any other qb in his junior season. its just the perception you have going in. you then had a random post about drew brees. ill just assume i was right regarding college and i think we can all agree he is not the next chad henne in the pros.
i had no idea most teams had him slotted for 3rd or 4th rd. sounds like the only way he'll make it is if he goes to another team as a backup.
You have to be kidding right? Until his junior year he never even had touch on the ball. He would just sling it at 100 mph even into double coverage which he never recognized and often got a completion just because of physical talent. That doesn't work in the NFL. You want to talk about his late start in his rookie season due to contract holdout? That was 3 years ago and he still hasn't done anything but gain weight which he does VERY well. Think he went to the wrong team? He went to the perfect team because Al Davis is an idiot. He still thinks you can throw downfield all game long like in the Daryl Lamonica days and Jamarcus' only strength is the super strong arm. Any other NFL team wouldn't have drafted him in the 1st round. Look at the receiver they drafted #7 this year. He had the reputation of not running good routes and having bad hands but Davis LOVED the fact that he was the fastest and could get down field. Next year he may try to draft Usain Bolt. Sweet!
Here Here..my mantra has been forever that "athletes make plays, smart guys win games." A truism for the ages.
Can someone research if we have ever used the word "truism" on TF before? I know we have used fruition before, not sure about truism. Nicely played.
Russell got benched in the first half today in the Raiders blowout loss to the Jets. Pityful. Absolutely pityful.
Apparently Jamarcus doesn't think its him. JaMarcus Russell on Raiders' troubles: 'I don't think it's me' - The Huddle: Football News from the NFL - USATODAY.com
Sounds to me like JaMarcus is one meltdown at a reporter away from being Ryan Leaf: The Sequel Hate to see a Tiger go down that road.
