Are we not hitting them in five countries?

Have we not taken the fight to them? Afghanistan and Iraq invaded and occupied; Libya, Yemen, and Syria bombed; Pakistan, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Yemen regularly targeted with drone missile strikes . . . all to hit terrorist operations hard.

We have military forces stationed in Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait Egypt, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, and Diego Garcia. We have huge, empty bases with pre-positioned equipment in Saudi Arabia. We have a Fleet in the Arabian Sea. We have logistical bases and communications stations in another dozen middle eastern countries. We have covert operations going on constantly in the entire region. The United States has a huge presence in the region, the biggest of anybody, by far.

I agree with what you are saying, we have to be engaged and protecting our best interests. But I think it is clear that we are doing just that. We have been taking the fight to them since 9/12/11. We have learned that big Superpower military efforts do not eliminate the problem, it just goes underground. We are better served by dividing them against each other, which ain't hard, and hammering the bad guys in support of those middle eastern allies who are committed to fighting for their own interests.

Why do we have to fight these assholes? Why cant we just support the UAE, Turkey, Jordan, and other Mideastern Countries with supplies and aid, and let them put boots on the ground? All we do by going over there is create a common enemy for those camel fuckers.

We aren't Dr Phil of Earth. We don't have to solve the world's problems when our bridges and roads are crumbling at home.

Let's send Rudy Guiliani over there since he loves America so much.

That is the plan but it comes slowly. These countries have no modern military tradition and no military forces that are proven in battle. They will need a lot of hand-holding before they toughen up.

I don't understand why Saudi Arabia gets to sit there with all their money and show no leadership in the Arab world against the extremism.

The United States does all the fighting for them while they get to sit by and play both sides.

Apparently someone thinks we are Dr. Phil of the Earth....oh, wait, that's the POTUS. We should send our newest envoy, Randy Berry.

"The United States named its first international envoy for gay rights Monday, tasking a veteran diplomat with leading US efforts to fight violence and discrimination against LGBT individuals overseas.

Randy Berry, currently the consul general in the Netherlands, will promote human rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals, Secretary of State John Kerry said. A longtime foreign service officer, Berry has served at US posts in Bangladesh, Egypt, Uganda and South Africa, and speaks Spanish and Arabic."

Hey, he speaks Arabic! Let's send him to Kobani! Changing isis, one gay at a time.
