Not so fast mister.....Hollywood libs take that shit very seriously..... "On any ordinary weekday, every table at the Beverly Hills Hotel’s iconic Polo Lounge is filled to capacity with industry movers and shakers like Steven Spielberg, Ari Emanueland Jeffrey Katzenberg, all regulars at the 73-year-old power spot. But these days, the room is a ghost town. Caught in the middle of the ballooning Beverly Hills Hotel boycott -- a direct response to a decision by its owner, the Sultan of Brunei, to institute Sharia law in his country, which calls for the stoning to death of gays and adulterers -- " That is real sacrifice, I tell ya. Boycotting the BH Hotel....the horror!
I would love to hear your logic behind this belief. We don't have the stomach for genocide and atrocity, but neither do we seek it. We do have the stomach to defend our interests and we do so with vigor. But the post-WWII era of Pax Americana is ending. We cannot be the worlds policeman anymore without bankrupting ourselves. Others must step up in their parts of the world. We have learned that we cannot force democracy and freedom on anybody, nor can we offer it freely and expect them to accept it. They have to want it themselves and be willing to fight for it, as we did in 1776.
red. If your measure of success is we are more civilized because we don't do those things then we are at the Apex of our victory, And we are destined to continue these proxy wars forever. I advocate two options unleash the full might of the American military, without concern of what the World thinks, or come home and let the rest of the world guide the ship for a while. this way we have a shot at real victory or we quit wasting our treasure, and I don't mean money.
Our measure of success is that we are more civilized, more successful, richer, more powerful, more influential, better educated, better fed, happier and we are an essential part of whatever goes on upon this planet. I cannot imagine why you think this criminal gang is somehow running circles around us. Where the existence of the state is not at stake, proxy wars have always been where great powers extended their influence. We must be vigilant against over-extension, though. We did exactly that in Iraq for 10 year against this same enemy. How well did that work? It made matters worse! No, this is not an affair in which military power will gain us everything we desire. This makes better sense, but I do not think a Superpower can afford to become isolationist and remain one. Neither total war nor total withdrawal is the best course. They are not mutually exclusive courses. The smart path (and the one we pursue) is to use military power judiciously where it causes maximum damage with minimum risk. We cannot be drawn into another knife fight on their terms. It is equally smart to to remain aloof with regards to nation-building and forlorn attempts to bring democracy to a region that is not prepared for it socially, economically, or morally. We must use force ruthlessly where it makes good sense and stay out of it determinably where it also makes good sense. Above all, we must let the locals fight their local wars, avoid civil wars like the plague, and support the nations who are valuable to us and willing to fight for themselves.
No, it/s a lie. Where have liberals suggested that they are "perfectly fine with the way Muslims treat gays, women, minorities". It's just right-wing hyperbole.
No we did not, the mess in iraq was just a higher level of the crap than we do now. If you doubt this look at the first time the Marines were in Faluja. We killed some 2000 and then were told to turn off the heat. If you are truly interested in winning you dont let the enemy leave
war by its very definition is ruthless, politicians think it is a game the joes in the dirt know better
Everyday Obama down plays it is when. If Republicans cannot even deny a portion of a health care item in the name of religion, why do Muslims get a slide for their treatment of women?
