Seems strange to fire him if he is retiring next year (if that rumor is true). I don't know if I buy this story just yet. I guess we'll see.
Yeah that was my feeling. I want him to be gone as much as anyone, but I wouldn't want to screw the guy out of his retirement. Of course, maybe they would force him to retire early (as happened to someone here at my job recently).
I'm in CO, so I'm not privy to all of the inside "dirt" like you all are. All I know is what I read. And that is LSU is consistently ranked as one of the top college athletic programs nation wide.
Underachieving... Simmons, Fournette, Bregman on campus, zip to show for it. Since Bertman left, performance in post season has fallen off. We made it to the finals last year, but that looks more like an anomaly with the way this season is going. [[National Status: B+]] Since Saban left, Miles kept it going for a while but things started tanking. It is widely suspected around college football that O will not get the job done. I’m more optimistic, but there are still serious doubts. [[National Status: C+]] Since Brown basketball has been skidding along with a few bright spots under Brady. Will Wade is seen as a Cracker Jack hire nationally, but we still haven’t realized it. [[National Status: A-]]
