I wonder if we'll get the same hype going to Washington as much as USC and Ohio State get from playing them.

I have a friend that lives out there. The gameday scene is actually pretty good.

Can't wait to get out there. We have a group of 8 going

My daughter graduates from Univ Washington next Spring. Her dad (me) is a P&G tiger (class of '65). Appropriately, she's not much of a Huskies fan.

If game is in Aug/Sep time-span, weather will be variable. If hot (85+), it will probably be humid, also. If cool, (65-72), it tends to be dry and windy.

And it's a good idea to bring some kind of wet-weather clothing with you as Husky Stadium is right on the water and you could get some liquid sunshine at any time!

Overall, come a day or two early and enjoy the Pacific northwest (if you can stomach left-coast socialism - ugh!!!). As I live north of Seattle on an island in the Puget Sound, I enjoy more favorable weather (20-24 inches rain annually), 5-8 degrees cooler in summer, 3-5 degrees warmer in winter with seldom-ever snowfall (average 2-5 inches annually). And best of all, there are no freeways here. Plus we share every convenience as the mainland folks do - except Tiger football.

My oldest sister lives on another island south of Seattle and attends Jazzfest every year. At least there will be two alumni in the stands cheering for our Tigers in '09.
