Had Gurley not gotten hurt, it might have actually benefited us because it would have slowed the game down. Who knows who would have scored last had more minutes been eaten up in the ground game.

Have to disagree, at least for this game anyway, LSU had no business EVER being in zone coverage. They don't communicate well enough and sure hindsight is 20/20 but it didn't take eagle vision to see it before hand. May get away with it if the Op QB isn't an assassin but anyone with half of Murray's talent will do the same thing to any discombobulated zone. Its just too damned easy.

Not bashing.....just stating the obvious here killer...calm down, i have been a die hard and supported this program since 1991, but i am also a realist and speak as to what I see, not what I want to see. My remarks simply meant that had gurley stayed healthy the would have continued to move the ball with ease but by the running game, taking more time off of the clock and even further wearing down our defense, gurley had 8 carries for 73 yards when he went out in the 2nd quarter, so yes...once again..."thank God he was not around for 4 quarters!!

The same DC helped this team hang around for the last number of years when we had no offense.

Yes, yes, yes! It was a Bama re-run, played out like a nightmare that we could all see happening: the ever-so-soft coverage, the backs ceding yardage by the turf load, a surgical QB shredding our D and probably thinking, "This is too easy!!! What am I missing???"

Nothing! Murray missed nothing! He read our coverage, and he took what was his--because we handed it to him.

I'm actually not sure that it wouldn't have helped us. Murray had his way with us, and while Gurley was still gashing us immensely, Gurley's gashes were for 5-10 yards, Murrays deep cuts were for 20-30 yards.

Mett completed 62% of his passes with 16.2 yds/rec. for 372 yds.

    Murray 59% with a 14.9 yds/rec for 298 yds.

Who had their way with who?

Looks like Mett did ok Saturday?

Come on now. Do you not deny Murray had his way with us (as in our defense?) Yes Mett had his way with Georgia also.

My point was instead of some of the 20-30 yard bombs we would have seen more running from Georgia, and a slowing down of the game. Gurley wasn't breaking free for 20-30 yards at a time.

I know, but if, I know a big if, we win the game, uga fans would be saying much of what is being said by LSU fans. Mett did have a good game, remember this, how many years has Murray had in the uga system? How many months has Mett had in Cams system? I see a little light in the end of the tunnel, but it could just be a train coming........;)

The train is what is going to be running over all the other defenses in the SEC.
