Times Article I can't believe he is taking a similar job at Mizzou! I think this is a huge loss!:bncry:
He's been with Les for 10 years. Sometimes a coach needs to move around and punch his ticket in other programs to get noticed and get head coaching opportunities. It's a mobile business and the best coaches are the ones who make smart and timely moves. I've got no problem with Henson trying to better himself.
I agree. Signed, #2 Recruiting class with 2 players recruited by Josh http://lsu.rivals.com/commitlist.asp?sport=1&school=37&year=2009#page2
I can't help but think that this is related to LSU flirting with that fat retarded ape Ogreon. Moving to Missouri from LSU is a big step down. No two ways about it. This is an ego move not a professional move. This was a concern of mine when the Ogre rumors surfaced. Looks like I was right unfortunately
even though its a "co" position, its still a step up from tight ends coach believe it or not. Even if he is still coaching the tight ends, the title helps his resume as a coach. While there may have been some other things to it as well, I agree with Red that its more of a career move than a personal move. Rumor was he wanted the O-line job here a few years ago when Les hired Stud. At some point he has to move forward, and while it hurts to lose such a great recruiter, at least he isn't recruiting talent to play against us on a yearly basis.
