disagree texas lost on the road to TT. Oklahoma dominated TT at home. A place where OU is 60-2 under stoops now that they beat TT. If TT beat Texas in Austin and OU got beat by Texas in Austin then maybe i could understand the argument. But if A&M loses to Texas, and OU beats OSU handily, it would be a crime for OU to pass up a team that they lost to on a neutral field. Texas Tech is out, they got smoked they are out of it. To me, if Texas beats A&M, Texas has to be the team in the Big 12 championship and i will bet everything i own, that if Stoops was in Mac Brown's position he would crying like a little b&$ch.

And OU didnt have to play Kansas or Missouri, the only 2 significant teams in the Big 12 North.

    "aye"

running up the score is poor sportsmanship, by any definition.

Some coaches justify it by pointing to a weakness in the methodology by which the MNC is voted on.

Fix the problem (poor process for selecting a champ) and not the symptom (style points)

Oh I agree totally, i'm talking more about seasons like 06' and and last year. We had ample opportunity to whoop people by more in 06, and many thought that going into the Bowl season LSU was the team no one could beat. Just saying.

I guess I don't understand the argument. In both of our championship years, some of those teams you mention could have been voted ahead of us... but they were not. And as I look back at our recent run of good fortune I don't see where we have been passed over for anything.

Putting another TD or two on Carolina would have done zero for us. We are not a very good football team this year and will end up right where we deserve. Some mid-level bowl that needs a team that travels well.

I know you are frustrated (just like the rest of us here) but don't worry, next year we will be right back where where we belong... in the hunt for another one of these: :crystal:

We couldn't get better than the Sugar in '06
Not sure which bowl you would have preffered last year either.

No last year we got into the NCG because of style points... as i said... our romping of VT is what ultimately put us there. I would just like to see us demolish more teams when the opportunity arises then go up a TD and then sit on the lead. All i'm saying.
