Wouldn't an uo victory make our SOS better if in fact we did lose to arky and have a three way tie to break. Knocking on wood to break the bad gri gri.

I agree completely. Outside of the SEC people could care less about the SEC and will be throwing HUGE fits if there is a rematch. i also think that Oregon is going to beat Stanford. But I just dont see Oregon being the one loss team who gets the nod. Not enough strength from the computers, even with a win over Stanford, and if it is left up to the voters, they wont want the rematch.

Before a rematch with Oregon or Alabama & Assuming LSU wins out & Oregon beats Stanford I see:

LSU vs OKST – If OKST is unbeaten

If OKST loses & Penn St. runs the table (Nebraska, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Big Ten Championship Game)

    LSU vs. Penn St.

Now, I don’t think Penn St will win out, and after that you still can have the ACC Champion with 1 loss, either Va. Tech or Clemson ( currently 9 & 10)

After that, then you look at Boise, OU, OKST, Oregon, Bama, Stanford

    JUST IMO

That's right. Oregon has a good quality loss going for them. But their schedule is weak and they already played us this year. That's why they won't see us again. For them to get in, they need a whole lot of help and it involves us losing to Arky and maybe more. Not likely at this point.

Do you think we have a chance if Stanford and Okie St. both remain undefeated and we have one loss? Or should we?

NO .. if we lose ... which would be to arky ... we are out. Period.

Bama likely goes to the SEC CG .. and they may be out as well. It would probably be a Okie State vs Stanford shootout.

No, not true that if Arky beat us we would be out period.

Arky can beat us and we can still play the SECCG. Arky could beat us and we could stay ranked ahead of both Arky & Bama, very possible when considering our body of work.

There is still a ton of football to be played, including some huge games this weekend, and conference championships.

Anything can happen, Bama could lose to State, or Auburn, Arky may get the nod and then lose to Georgia in the SECCG, OU beats OKST, Oregon beats Stanford, then Oregon loses the PAC 12.....on and on and on.......

Our formula is simple = WIN

Isn’t there some rule that as long as we are within 5 spots of Bama on the latest BCS rankings, and we won the head to head over Bama, We would get the trip to rep the west? Anybody know how that works

    In other words:

    Right Now

    1. LSU
    3. Bama
    8. Arkansas

Bama wins out, Arkansas beats us

    Rankings come out:

    1. OKST
    2. Bama
    3. OU
    4. LSU

    or

    1. OKST
    2. Bama
    3. OU
    4. Arkansas
    5. LSU

We are within 5 spots of the leader, and we beat them head to head.........I know it’s something like that, it’s confusing

Some of our team's and coach's swagger need to wear off on y'all; the only difference in a rematch with 'Bama would be that we were playing in "our" dome. Personally, I think it would be another epic game and we would crush them. I can see how folks love to see Bama fall and squirm, but a rematch would be a NCG with the two best teams playing, I can't really pull against that but I don't think the voters will let it happen.

In saying that, I don't want a rematch with UA or Oregon. We beat them already and they have had their chance, give someone else an opportunity. IMO in the flawed system that is the BCS, the top 3-4 teams with a legit argument deserve a shot....1-2 teams that have an argument for a second chance don't deserve it. Go tell your president you want a playoff and get back to us.

My personal preference is Stanford, so we can bury their Heisman trophy winning golden boy and his trophy under the turf next to Jason White and his. Next would be OkSt, CLM's former school...get to show them what their offense and 111th(?) defense would get them in the SEC. OU would round out my list, basically so we wouldn't have a rematch.

What we really need to focus on is Arky and our SECC opponent, who will both be lookbg to ruin our "dream" season, and might be tougher than our bowl game.

Oh i am sure. But Okie States offense is no better than Oregon's, West Virginia's, Arkansas and maybe even Texas A&M's for that matter.

I mean the Arkansas vs. Texas A&M game was IDENTICAL to the OKST vs. Texas A&M Game

they will be shut down, frustrated, and when it is all said and done, be saying the same thing......That they made mistakes and didnt execute properly

Because every team we have beaten this year just left their head at home before the game and beat theirselves...........1,000 what ifs and excuses after every loss
