We are deep and have a lot of speed. I know its a spring game, but the LB's and Dline looked damn good. And honestly, that will help our CB depth issue.
It could help the offense too if they can just stuff the run and force turnovers or 3rd and long situations. I just don’t see anything with the offense that makes me feel confident in their ability to move the ball. Maybe I’ll be surprised, who knows.
Belichick will turn him into a slot receiver and he will go for like 9 catches for 135 yards and 3 touchdowns in the super bowl next year.
So that's the new standard. Not wins. We used to be favored every game but 1 every year. The fall was quicker than most anticipated. Now we just wanna be competitive. Dear God.
Not the standard at all, just pointing out your "LSU is gonna lose by 50 every game" philosophy is way off. I expect at least 10 wins if not more with this team. If LSU goes 6-6 like you expect by all means I would want O to go...
I’ll be interested to see what people say if we have a respectable offense, both in scoring and yards, and have a good record, but still don’t beat Bama, and maybe lose one other SEC game. Say, our defense plays lights out like you are anticipating, and our offense is getting yards and scoring, and we lose 2-3 games. I still don’t think it’ll be enough to satisfy people. It won’t be good enough because everyone seems so down on Oeaux and the program. Our offense is young experience-wise, we don’t have any true heralded stars, and have a new OC. Yet, people will just say the coaches suck if outrageous expectations aren’t met. Ensminger surprised everyone when he was just the interim OC piecemealing an offense together. I think he can do better. He just will need a little time, get some players game experience, and have a year or two of solid recruiting and the offense should be humming. Not sure he’ll get that chance though.
