That's not true. We were close in a few of the games - Prevent defense lost us a few of them in the last 2 mins - two years in a row I remember
Playing close isn't how you measure a championship program anyhow. That's the mentality that got us and Les where we are. But it's what we do bc it's all we got. Hopefully the next new guy will change that mindset.

At least you won't get beat by a safety. Fudd was the master of that strategy. In 10 1/3 seasons his teams never got beat by a safety. I'm surprise that taint or the estranged Mrs. Taint in Slidell. haven't brought that up.
But that wasn't what he said. He said we were never close to beating them and that is simply not true. I was addressing his statement, not saying its the mentality of the program.
