I think you meant it happened way to little. He won more games with a higher winning percentage than any coach we ever had. Hey its just comical to watch you whine. God we need to suck again so we can get rid of all these bandwagon, Tennessee type, fans we have.
I'm a reformed Miles "sunshine pumper". I'm glad he's gone but I blame Aleva for handling the Fisher fiasco the year before as well as the complete lack of foresight of having no backup plan and no real coaching search. It resulted in the Orgeron hiring. I do think Orgeron is doing his best coaching job he's ever done. He's got a good enough staff and he seems to let them run with the ball. I give Miles a lot of credit...especially in the beginning and overall. He took a downturn towards the end though. I really think Miles did the greatest LSU coaching job in history...his first year. That was in '05. The year of Katrina. No other coach had to deal with such a catastrophic event. Half the team lost everything their families owned. People were displaced all over the USA and had no idea what their life was gonna be like. I went through all that uncertainty and my uncle died in that bitch. I was typical...not the exception. Miles led that team to the number 2 ranking in the final poll that year. We beat a Miami team ranked no. 2 in the nation in the bowl game. We won the locker room fight after that game as well. Miles followed up with a top 5 recruiting class despite the fact that no one knew where the recruits evacuated to. UN EFFING BELIEVABLE !!!
The only drop off he was having was losing all the juniors to the NFL. It was some ridiculous number like 18 in a two year period late in his time with LSU. His last full year he went 9-3 (with a very likely win, McNeese, getting rained out) That is not a drop off.
You keep hanging your hat on that lost rent-a-win game. It's a serious dropoff when you are 7-0 and then with Founette with the Heisman almost packed away you run an offense vs Bama that any sane man would see would give LF7 no support. He was stuffed at and behind the line more times than he gained yards yet Fudd kept on running the same plays with no adjustments. Then for the next two games the team simply quit. Back to back blowouts by Ole Piss and R Kansas. That, my friend, is coaching incompetence.
No my friend its called a winning season. It should have been Les's 8th ten win season in 11 years. That is unbelievable.
He’s right there with Taint in reading comprehension, and recognition of obvious reality. When people reminisce about past events and records, they tend to only remember the best parts, kind of like an old girlfriend. Once you experience her again, all the crazy crap begins to clicks in again.
It better than people that just concentrate on the negative, and can not understand when they had something better than they have ever had before.
