Don't think the government should have their noses in the bar owners' business. If non-smokers are offended by the smell, they can go somewhere that caters to their tastes. If the bar owner loses too much business as a result, he/she can hang a no-smoking sign in the door. It's not rocket surgery.. :yelwink2: As a smoker (depending on when you ask), I agree with LSU_Sooner.. It doesn't bother me to not smoke where it's not permitted. I also make sure that if I do step outside for one, I'm not somewhere that everyone passing in and out of said building has to walk through it. I try to be courteous. So if a bar owner decides (on their own) to make his/her establishment smoke free, that's perfectly fine by me. Chances are if I want one I'll step outside, or I'll just wait until I leave. It's not that big of a deal. However, I feel the government has plenty of other things to be concerned with than adding yet another law to an already bloated collection, and telling folks how they can or can't run their business anymore than they already do.
Smokers should quit smoking but that's beside the point. I've been an ex-smoker for 24 years, but I don't think it should be up to the Government to decide who can smoke where. I used to light up after a double quarter pounder with fries. Today, Michelle (and her Big Mac ass) would be mortified.
