Small Potatoes: Who Killed the USFL? - ESPN Video - ESPN I caught part of this last night and enjoyed it. Kind of a stroll down memory lane in a way. Forgot Alan Risher played in the league. Never have been much of a Donald Trump fan, even less after watching this.
Dude this show was awesome, i was talking to a friend of mine last night, and we were discussing this, i barely remember the USFL, and had no idea, Jim Kelly, Steve Young, Herschel Walker, Reggie White and other guys played in this league. Steve Spurrier was the Tampa Coach also, and Jim Mora was the Philly coach. All i remember about football during this time period was the NFL. They must have had terrible marketing departments. Donald Trump is an ass hat also.
Had an uncle play in the USFL for the Birmingham Stallions. I remember going to a few of those games, when I was really young. http://www.oursportscentral.com/usfl/birm85.htm No. Name Pos. Ht. Wt. Really interesting show. I knew the USFL had some talent, but I didn't realize just how much. A lot of NFL Hall of Famers played for them, but I don't think I ever watched one of their games. And Trump is and always has been a douchebag.
Wasn't this on HBO last night too? I caught the last 5 minutes of an hour long show about the USFL last night and though it was on HBO
dont know if it was on HBO but i think there was a show on Showtime about the AFL, before the merger.
