I don't watch First Take. It has nothing to do with Skip, it's all about the delivery style with Stephen A. Smith. It's an opinion show so we know that there are going to be two sides to a debate. Part of me thinks it's unfortunate they choose some of their subject matter because it has to be difficult to argue one side against another. Funny thing is, Smith has two different sides to him as well. I've heard him substituting for Golic and Greenie on Mike and Mike and he did a pretty good job. Less emotion on display, more thought out comments, and both mixed in with some valid points. It isn't much unlike what Skip brought to the table when he was writing. Put the two together and on that set? In retrospect, I wonder how much of what we don't like falls in the producers lap?
You can't go broke underestimating the taste of the American public. It's nice because it helps me recognize who is stupid when they care about the stories espn forces on us.
