I know this has been touched on in other threads but since we talk about everything in depth here (and I don't want to talk about football this week), I thought I'd start a thread. Looks like the story has gone national. I think it will get bigger in the coming weeks and months. I'm very curious to here the full story of the body camera and what really happened. As it is, a six year old is being buried this week. http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/09/us/louisiana-child-shooting/index.html
The father, Chris Few had his hands up and posed no threat when the marshals opened fire http://news.yahoo.com/latest-marshals-hearing-boys-death-closed-152307037.html
Last I heard he was still in critical condition. Knowing his son is dead might destroy his will to live
Black cops shoot white kid. Where's the fucking outrage from our racist president. We should start a hunger strike and demand he resign.
Report on the local news says the video shows the guy had his hands up when shot. Wonder if all the liberal news shows will be screaming hands up don't shoot this time when it may have actually happened?
A 6 year old boy is shot in the head 5 times by two cops of a different race. Then we judge our political leaders, police, and the press on the equivalence of their public reaction to similar tragedies in the recent past that had reversed race roles. This is a dark place we have come to. I’m not taking sides, and I’m not saying what's right or wrong. I’m just saying, WE (as in all of us together) are in a bad place. We’re the frog in the pot of slowly heating water on the stove. If we don't find a way to turn down the heat we will all cook together.
I think there will be a whole lot more to this story when it all comes out. One question, with the victim being 6 years old, why isn't it first degree murder?
