Who was that DB that committed to us a few years ago but didnt qualify? He is a JUCO player now and is still interested in us.
To be honest, I find this to be a mild relief. I don't think we need JUCO guys at this point. It looks like we're going to sign 6 high school receivers. Some of them have academic issues, i know, but the immediate need for receivers is not that great. With Lafell, Toliver, and Byrd, we will have a very good top 3. How many more will we need?
We also have the Mitchells who may develope a lot this offseason. But if we get Benton we should be fine. He would have contributed this year if he had qualified. Even if he doesnt qualify again I think we will be fine. We also have a newcomers this year that could play WR like Ron Brooks and John Williams. We also have Richard Dickson in the passing game and one of the younger TEs might emerge as a threat in the passing game.
