Was anyone else as uncomfortable as I was that we started sitting on a six point lead with about 7 minutes left to go in the game? Even though the D is playing great, it would only take one slip (like Mathieu) or a blown assignment and we would have been playing catch up with an offense that is dare I say "woeful.":nope:
yeah i was. to the same token, it was the same thing saban did here with a defense that looked eerily similar.
Or a combination of the two. We were shutout in the 2nd half against Carolina and only scored 3 in the 2nd half last night. Not a lot of consistency.
I just dont get Miles or GC We have been good with the run and when we need it most, they let JJ throw the ball in the dirt for the last few drives.....
I just wanna know for sure, whos calling the shots or do they take turns? Some times the calls are great, and then they suck ass and make you wounder wtf is going on..
That's a question that only Les or Crowton can answer with 100% accuracy. I've read that Crowton makes the calls but Les has veto power. I've also read that Crowton is restricted to a prepared script and can't use the entire playbook. Regardless of who's making the calls we aren't getting the desired results.
I think that with our offense being a little lame, this has to be our strategy. Have the defense or special teams give us favorable field position for us to score points (or to have them score the points themselves) and try to grind out the clock. I don't think we have an offense capable of overcoming a deficit larger than 3.
