Zach told me once that he and Matthew, Joe Cox, and all the other qb's on staff at the time used to have a competition after practice to see who could stand flat-footed and throw the ball from farthest away and get it through the uprights. He said Stafford always won hands down. He's really got a cannon.
That's unfair, Megatron is a freak, but I think Stafford would still be good with other guys as long as he had a legit 1 like Johnson or Fitz, or Andre Johnson etc etc..
I don't see Sanchez and Broadford throwing for 5k and I don't see either of them going the length of the field at end of the game no timeouts and throwing lasers into buckets to win a game. Megatron is double and sometimes triple covered and Stafford is still getting him the rock. Go watch that final drive how perfect those balls were thrown.
Stafford has a million dollar arm with a 10 cent head. He won't ever win jack. Even with the second best wr in the history of football, Reggie bush.
To me, the thing about a strong arm isn't about how far you can throw it, it's about minimizing the time that the ball is in the air. The other side of that is that you have to have a receiver with strong hands. I think the best is yet to come with Stafford/Johnson. They sure looked good today.
Detroit also fumbled the ball like 4 times and Stafford was picked off. Game should have been over at halftime. So Tirk does that mean Dan Marino wasn't any good either?
Dan Marino had midgets at wr. Never ever compare braindead stafford to Dan Marino no matter how high you get. Even to make this stupid point. Even other stoners would laugh you out of the room. If they knew who either one was.
I'm not the one who is saying stafford is no good because he won't win a championship. Now you are saying short receivers are no good, wanna go down that list too?
