Don't know if you guys know about SI's requesting all public universities to release their Coaches' Poll ballots (read about it http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/andy_staples/08/25/coaches-ballots/index.html ). The first coach to respond was Coach Leavitt of USF (article http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/andy_staples/08/26/polls.update/index.html ) and you can see his ballot http://www.gousfbulls.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=7700&ATCLID=204781595 . I think its interesting that 1) LSU (hell ya) is 5th; 2)Florida is second behind Oklahoma and 3) Ole Miss is no where to be found I like his way of thinking although I don't know how anyone can vote Florida behind anyone this preseason. Just goes to show, many ways to look at the polls so far. Any thoughts?
I think Jim Leavitt offered his votes so quickly because they are solid picks that show thoughtfulness and based on all the right variables (...and I agree with his #1, btw). I do not think other coaches will look as thoughtful or fair if their results are shown.
