I look for it to be between LSU and Ole Miss. Alabama could be in the mix depending on their qb play.
I have no idea why, but I like the thought of Ole Miss rising. From a recruiting standpoint, I should hate it. Maybe I will learn to. But right now, I'm kinda pumped about it. I think I need help...
Bama loses some key players and will learn the hard lesson about green quarterbacks that LSU learned in 2008. But they will be in the mix for sure because they are playing with consistency, now. The West is going to be tough with four contenders. God help us if Petrino gets Arkansas rolling or State gets back into the picture.
That is a pretty unfortunate situation. No fan base handles the slightest bit of success with less dignity. But on the other hand, Nutt has done essentially nothing this year in terms of recruiting. There is no mention of them in any top 25 class for '09. So my hope is that the success is short-lived. Oh come on, red. Didn't you see McElroy's Heismanesque TD pass in the waning seconds vs Auburn? Clearly, this guy is SEC-ready (at least, that's what a certain bama fan would have you believe).
I can't argue with that after your performance in Atlanta. I think Ole Miss will be in the mix with Snead at QB and Bama will be in it if they find a QB that won't lose games for them.
More than one. It seems to be the talk of the town around here. It's amazing how little Bama fans think of JPW.
One unequivocal truth in college football: in the rabid fan's eyes, the starting quarterback is a bum and the backup quarterback is a star in waiting. It's as simple and as steadfast as gravity.
now that nutt built up expectations, he will fail miserably. he fits right in with ole myth. they are a match made in hell. exactly what their fanbase deserves. ridiculous unwarranted expectations = zero trips to atlanta. we have many who feel the same way after our peach bowl rout with a qb who started 3 games. preseason top 5 with an unproven qb is much too high methinks.
