I wasn't saying that I didn't care if Tebow didn't win. I was saying I didn't care if he was a soph. If he deserves it, so be it. Which is why I said OJ should have won it 2x. I actually agree that McFadden should win the award this year. There's always debate. Troy Smith was a solid candidate last year. I have fewer questions with his winning than I did when Carson Palmer won. Don't get me wrong, I was thrilled for Carson but very surprised.

If Dorsey were to win, don't tell me you wouldn't have an ear to ear grin, some sense of pride, and a fist pump while saying under your breath HELL YEAH! It would be completely normal and acceptable.

Of course we would. Any LSU homer would. And if JR would have came back we'd be saying the same for him. But it's obvious that to these kids it's 1) $$ 2) Heisman. That's why I think Dorsey deserves it. He bypassed the $$ last year to enjoy his senior season. And it would be more special considering he is a defensive player.

I concur. To a large degree it's why most of the top HS players select big name schools who have media deals/exposure. Both parties use the other to an extent.

While I understand Matt Leinart is hardly a good name over here, the fact that he passed up NFL money and returned for his senior year AFTER he won the Heisman is a pretty amazing thing in my book.

Tebow should win the Heisman, it will be a travesty if he doesn't. I would love for Dorsey to win it but I can't see it unless he plays out of his mind the next few games. But in reality, going to NY for the presentation is in itself an honor. Most of the time everyone knows who's going to get it or it is between two players, but I would love for Glenn and LSU to get some more pub.

Hey it's a start. At least they acknowledge he may have a shot now.

“I saw his butt going up the field more than he was going backwards. I said it several times over the headset (during the game). I said, ‘why don’t we run the other way, because we’re not blocking him.’”

I thought that was funny too. Given how dominant Pittman was in that game. After about the 4th time Pittman beat his man easily, Saban blew a gasket on the sideline. It was fun to watch.

It's time they came out of the closet.
You'd think they would be honored to have someone of Dorsey's stature and attitude on the awards platform. Seeing him going against two and three blockers on every play, even with a gimpy leg, and overcoming to make the play, has been an awesome experience.

You're confused. It's wife killing chocolate cracker Heisman winners that we have a problem with.
