It will change how the OFFENSE is coached and prepared! We don't need to change how our TEAM is coached and prepared. Our Defense is coached and prepared fine. Our Special teams is coached and prepared fine. It's the OFFENSE we need to fix.
This. I'd like to add, we don't need to change the caliber or quality in the young man we're recruiting either.
I agree... you can not criticize the head coach for the offense and not give him credit for everything else. If the offense is the problem you fire the offensive coordinator because HE is not doing HIS job. All these conversations are very similar to the Malveto debacle. That problem got fixed so there is no reason not to believe this one won't.
The offense under Miles was pretty good when he had Jimbo Fisher calling the plays. And the defense became a well coached bunch when the Chief arrived on campus. It's the coordinator, not the head coach.
Do you guys really think that a good OC would come and work under CLM? I dont think so. First of all a good OC wants the reigns. Second, CLM is on the hot seat, It would be hard to land a good OC with the head coach on the hot seat.
Correct. Les Miles didn't frantically tell Jordan Jefferson to spike the ball with 1 second left vs Ole Miss and he didn't allow the same person to go into the game with less than 40 seconds, no timeouts, call a running play and have no backup play called in case it failed. Yep, it's not the head coach. Clearly.
