I say let him lose a year of eligibility. Scholarships in basketball are too few to just let one hang around from November to May and let it go without consequence.

Nah, no need to bring any neg. PR to LSU. Bid him farewell and best wishes. I share your frustration though.

    Does PR get underlined automatically?

this kid seems like a liar to me who just wants to go to UCLA now and is making excuses to do so. CTJ definatly tried to get him to stay and if I remember correctly there was an article a while back saying that he had recommitted to us. Let him go and have fun at UCLA we don't want to have that bad PR. He isn't the only fish in the sea and we don't want to have someone who doesn't want to be in our program while we are trying to rebuild it withe CTJ.

That's why I feel you cut him loose ASAP and not give him, his family, the media, etc. a stage to perform on.

I guess that depends on how much shenanigans are going on outside of the public eye. I'm thinking UCLA isn't passive in this, for one thing.

Whaaaaaaat? I took a peek at the BRO board and their fans were not much more than passive about Morgan. I did find this thread interesting.

Why have an NCAA rule if we are going to cave every time someone changes their minds. I thought the purpose of the rule was to cut down on cheating and the early signing date was to save the universities money on recruiting. Let him sit a year.

I've yet to see any rule that didn't need to be accompanied with a little old common sense. It's against the law to speed...unless it's an emergency.

Rules assume all things equal- the minds changed were with institution's personnel who fired the coach he'd committed to so it's not what he agreed to, exactly.

If you ordered something from a company, the product was on backorder and they substituted another one, you'd still be making a purchase with the same company but you may not be satisified with the substitution...even if it was of higher value. :hihi:

I agree. He cost LSU a chance to sign another big man. The whole idea of a national letter was to keep thing slike this from happening.

What bad PR? A kid's mom is upset because the new coach let two weeks go by with calling her baby to tell him how great he is? So she wants him to break his agreement. LSU did nothing wrong, the kid did. He has the bad PR.

    Let him sit.
