O.J. Simpson Convicted On the 13th anniversary of his acquittal for the murder of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her boyfriend, O.J. Simpson was convicted in a Las Vegas court for Kidnapping and Armed Robbery and 10 other lesser charges. Sentencing is set for December 5. The Kidnapping conviction carries a sentence of five years to life, and the Armed Robbery conviction carries a sentence of two to thirty years.
Re: O.J. Simpson Convicted I remember watching the original OJ verdict come in. I was teaching at Springfield High at the time, and a bunch of the kids asked to eat lunch in my room, so they could watch it on TV. SHS had around 60% white/40% black student population, and racial tensions were high from time to time. I was afraid a riot was going to break out in my classroom when the verdict came in, and I wouldn't tell the kids what I thought for any amount of money. That being said, yes, justice was finally served.
