That wasn't the question was it, but since you asked, LSU ranks 3rd int he SEC based on talent. Talent you say doesn't exist.
We are not as talented as you think and we are the least experienced team in the SEC. You are totally forgetting what experience and depth mean to a team.
except they're not "new" anymore. Saturday is the 12th game of the season. other teams seem to be ok with "new" players making an immediate impact. why doesn't this happen at lsu? coaching? same song, different verse...once again saturday will be the 12th game of the season several people on this board predicted 9-3, some 10-2, etc. so why bitch and moan about others who aren't as happy as you? been lots of unbeatable teams throughout the years that somehow manage to get beat...but since you asked, here's what i'm unhappy about: QB: 55th in NCAA 1st down offense: 57th in NCAA Completion %: 96th in NCAA 3rd down conversion %: 88th in NCAA Scoring Offense: 74th in NCAA Rushing Offense: 64th in NCAA Passing Offense: 89th in NCAA Passing Efficiency: 95th in NCAA and the one coach you choose to criticize has the Tigers at 8th in the NCAA in scoring defense.
We are as talented as UGA. That gap is not all that large. Nor is the gap all that large with regards to Bama. LSU has consistently ranked among the top 10 over the past TWO DECADES in recruiting. You can easily do a star ranking analysis to find this. http://gridironnow.com/recruiting-rankings-sec-schools-five-years/
Where Bama has dominated the rest is the 5* talent. It clearly shows. My point remains from a few weeks ago. Talent to "compete" is a fucking myth.
LSU should not be shut out at home by anybody. Much less twice in a row, by the same team. We still play Alabama like we can win 9-6, while they have smartly left that style of play in 2011 where it belongs. *Noted knucklehead Matt Canada's offense outgained Alabama on the road in 2017, and actually scored points. Double digit points!* This offense is horrific. Anyone with a working set of eyes could tell you that. It is PAINFUL to watch these guys deliver a million three-and-outs against any team with a pulse. (Except UGA - nice job that day. A result that makes less sense each time I see both teams play). That leaves two conclusions to be drawn: 1) The players are garbage. Or, 2) the offensive coaches have no idea how to use the talent in place to deliver yards and points in 2018. I know which one I believe.
