Tebow...on the bench or in the game

    What do LSU fans prefer?

You've got the best shot at beating Florida with him on the bench. Would you rather play a full strength Florida, with him back?

Re: Tebow...on the bench or in the game

I'd rather beat them with a healthy Tebow. But even if he plays, we're NOT going to get a healthy Tebow.

Having spent 3 years working in interventional neuroradiology at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital, I can tell you that the concussion Tebow received should NOT be taken lightly and there's no way he should play in the game against us. Period.

Once you have that severe of a concussion, you can get another one from practically getting hit with a pillow.

This is head and health we're talking about....not a sprained ankle, shoulder or pulled muscle.

If Meyer plays Tebow then I sincerely loose any respect I ever had for Urban Meyer...reguardless on if Tebow makes it through the game with no further injury. The risk they would take is stupid at this point.

    Yeah, bring on their best.

It's not like Brantly sucks though. He is a pure passer. Probably the best in the SEC. Just hasn't had a chance to showcase it. But Florida has had poor play from their receivers. That would not be good for Brantly who doesn't run like Tebow.

I got a feeling we aren't hearing the truth from Gainesville.

I put it at 30-50 percent chance he does not play Saturday night.

Even Beano Cook said this morning he didn't think he would play.

Well if he wasn't showing signs of being completely better yesterday then, according to what has been reported, we won't see him. Supposed to be over it for at least 7 days.

I think he plays. However it doesn't matter, you win or lose with who you have. Every team loses players. How many LSU offensive linemen went down with flu like symptoms during the game yesterday? I think all this discussion of T-blow is a waste of time. He either will or will not play. Someone will be at QB for Florida Saturday and we will have to beat them.

Can't post link, but according to SI.com, Tebow recovery ahead of schedule.

Tebow will have to get the all clear from Doctors to play.

Anyone want to be the doctor that is responsible for Tebow laying motionless on the turf of Tiger Stadium because Rahim Alem went all Rahim Alem on him just two weeks after the initial concussion?

+1 It's a huge game & all but is it as huge as the rest of his life? I don't think so. I'm betting we see Brantley. If that's the case, I think it will make a pretty big difference to Florida. Besides Tebow's experience & unreal leadership, he is their only real power running threat. If he played, you know he would try to run and that's where he would get himself into REAL trouble.

My initial thought was that if Tebow plays, there's a significant reduction in the available playbook for UF, because they'll not call the designed run plays for him, run fewer empty backfield formations so they can have an extra bodyguard, etc.

Then I thought,"who are we kidding? We're talking about Urban Meyer. Winning by any means necessary is all that matters."

But your statement, "If he played, you know he would try to run." is the real bottom line. Dude is an absolute warrior, and if he played, it would be Tebow running a business-as-usual style of game, regardless of what Meyer called. I think if there's any doubt that he's 100% ready, the docs will have to hold him out to protect him from himself.
