Wolf is a little involved. You set up a rotation and the players have to hit in order off the tee but the rotation changes each hole. On hole #1 player #1 hits first then the other players hit in order. After player #2 hits his tee shot player #1 gets to chose if he wants player #2 for his partner on the hole. If he wants player #2 he must chose him before player #3 hits, once player #3 hits he can no longer chose player #2. Say in this case he chooses player #3 for his partner. Player #4 hits his tee shot and the match on that hole is players #1 and #3 vs players #2 and #4 playing best ball. If the hole is tied no one gets any points. If players #1 and #3 win the hole they each get plus 1 point each and players #2 and #4 get minus 1 point each. On hole #2 player #2 hits first, player #3 hits second, player #4 hits third and player #1 hits fourth and so on and so forth. Some times the first player to hit will not choose any of the other three as partner and he becomes "the Wolf." In this case he is playing against the other three on that hole. Now, if the 'Wolf" wins the hole he gets plus 3 points and each of the others get minus 1 point each. Now here is where the game can vary depending on what is agreed to on the first tee. In some groups the "Wolf" has to win the hole or he loses 3 points, others play if the hole is tied no one gets any points. At the end of the game they add up the points and the guy or guys who are minus pay into the pot the amount they are minus and the guy or guys who are plus get the spoils. Depending on how much each point is worth is what can make the game interesting. Most folks probably play $1.00 a point, I've never played for more, but I've heard of games where each point was worth $100.00!

I can see lots of arguments in those rules. Is there a referee to keep track? Is fist fighting allowed in golf?

I've played a game called bingo, bango, bongo, but its not conducive to fast golf because it requires that the farthest person from the hole always hits, regardless of score. With that requirement, the first person on the green earns a point. Once everyone is on the green, closest to the hole earns a point, and then first in the hole earns a point.

What arguments, this actually is a very straight forward game. Yes, there are a couple of things that have to be made clear before you start, but basically it's just 18 best ball matches with rotating teams. Don't need a referee to keep track, everyone pretty much knows how they stand at anytime during the round.

Well if we're playing for small steaks I vote for small ribeyes or sirloins, If we play for small stakes I'd say $1.00 per.
