    Damn right!
He probably got a good idea about the differences between Miles and Saban thru Jackson and JR. Phelon's commitment and his father's views of Miles definitiely help.He may get the surprise of his life when he steps into LSU! Good sign that he is spending time and effort at the last minute to visit LSU.

I think Mr. Corley's statement was more of a getting back at Meyer than praising Miles, not that he doesnt respect or like Miles.

We are not in need for any more D-lineman. We are set if he comes or not for a long time. However, it will be a bonus to have him.:thumb:

We are set at DT for sure. DE, not quite as much. We need Corley as a DE to get us to that same strength as DT.

I agree, we dont necessarily need Corley as a must sign but he would be a huge addition. With Jackson and Francois expected to be the starters, we have a great starting tandem. Hopefully Pittman can get back to form, if so he will probably start. If anything he will be a great relief for the starters. After that we dont have any real established DEs. Johnson and Alem havent really done much in their stint here at LSU. So I agree, Corley would be a huge get to help sure up a DE rotation to rival our DT group. Plus, who knows if Jackson wouldnt possibly bolt if he has a big year next year?

The Corley's didn't like it when Carlos Dunlap gave his verbal to UF and dropped us when Justin Trattou switched to the Gators. But Sidell had been looking around and Urban didn't feel he was as committed as he once was. We played eight defensive linemen this past year. That may or may not be a good selling point to highschool kids who think they have to be on the field every down. I think it would be a good situation to be apart of a deep rotation. You don't get tired and you can make more plays when you are fresh. LSU would have to be smarter choice in my opinion as opposed to Bama. Maybe Phelon Jones can sway him for yall. Maybe you could offer to change the name of the town Slidell to Sidell.

First I heard that he is a strong lean to LSU. Would be nice if we kept him from the bamers.

Article is on McKnight's in-home. This is only a brief statment in the article on Corley.
