a big reason to suspect food and not flu.... if it was only a handful of player, then food sickness can be contained to just them. the flu cannot. if it was flu, clm knows that risking the entire team to something contagious could be a lot more catastropic in number of players going down next week. in the long run, with the flu it would have made sense they be left home or kept away from the others if already in ga when it hit, just to minimize a major outbreak that could take down the whole team. with food, those few puke their guts out all night then rehydrate and rest. and keep everyone else away from where ever they ate.
But what if it just hit both of the guys during the game? You know how the flu is; you're fine one minute, and the next...you're not.
This reminds me of my high school "trainer" he was basically a biology teacher that liked football... No matter what was wrong with you he'd say, "ice it and take ibuprofen" I once had fractured ribs and didn't know bc he kept telling me to ice it and it take ibuprofen. After two weeks of ridiculous pain I went n got an xray... another guy had apendicitis and was treated with the ole' ice and ibuprofen. Another favorite treatment was having the female water girls give icy-hot rubs for any kind of soreness.. we began faking groin injuries
do NOT rub icy hot on a groin injury trust me on this one you'll be diving into a tub of ice quicker than you've ever moved before
my son goes to LSU and was diagnosed with Type A influenza within the first week of the semester. they told him they had seen about 600 cases, it's been a good while since then, I would hope its not still going around. however, he didn't vomit, i guess some do and some don't. Let's just hope it's something the guys ate.
Reporter: Coach Saban, what is the proper dietary combination for the offensive line? Satan: What a stupid question. Relative to the proper dietary combination for the offensive line, most people think that it's just eating food and what they don't understand is that it's a process that's relative to combining the proper dietary elements and focusing on the process and not the outcome and once we realize that if we take care of what's in front of us for sixty minutes then relative to the process of proper dietary combination then we will have relative success at the time required. And never forget to wash your hands before going to the bathroom if you've been eating crawfish. :hihi: :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
Thanks a lot, you just made me blow chunks all over my computer by mentioning his name!o: Speaking of lineman let me say that I don't keep up with recruiting. Have we maintained the quantity and quality of lineman on both sides of the ball that we have had the last 5 years or so? Thanks in Advance.
