True food poisoning is a lot more severe than what I saw on the TV...People are doubled over with cramps and pain and are often hospitalized. It could be a food borne illness though...one of the viruses named above that was introduced via food. Or it could be the swine flu as gumborue speculates. Who really cares what it's called anyway; the more important question is...What do you do about it? Another important question is How much can our offense score against Florida's defense in DEATH VALLEY.... oh yea!!!
some are contagious (norwalk virus---aka cruise virus) and some are not (common food poisoning). some are very short lived, particularly food poisoining that is caused by ingesting bacterial toxins and not the bacteria themselves. you vomit or crap it out and its gone.
If that was the case yesterday, imagine the football field where players were falling onto and wiping their sweaty faces
This is completely on the coaches. Miles has had years to figure out the proper dietary combination for our team, much less for the offensive line. There is no excuse. Miles must be replaced immediately. I bet Saban doesn't have players getting sick.
Like I said I complete understand not releasing anything before the game but why does it matter it if Miles says what the illness was after the game?
article I read said they Miles said they were "nicked" up but would be fine for florida. I have never blown chunks like Hitt when I got knicked up.
 He could have had a compound fracture and Miles would have said he's just a little "nicked up." Glad Miles is a football coach and not a doctor :thumb:
Maybe the staff should check the records and find that good ol Lou Tepper diet, then everyone would be sick.
