    THE GUILBEAU POLL
1.LSU (8-1, 5-1 SEC) ? Forget about whose players the Tigers are. They're YOUR players when you get right down to it and they're going to win the national championship. Last Week: 1st.
    2. AUBURN (7-3, 4-2) ? It doesn't matter what Auburn's record is as far as its next two games are concerned ? Georgia and Alabama. Last Week: 2nd.
3.GEORGIA (7-2, 4-2) ? The Bulldogs could play LSU for the third time in five years in the SEC championship game. Last Week: 3rd.
4.ALABAMA (6-3, 4-2) ? A significantly outmanned Crimson Tide team was a fourth-and-four stop away from beating the No. 3 team in the nation last week, and it could finish 7-5. Last Week: 4th.
5.TENNESSEE (6-3, 3-2) - The Vols control their own destiny for the East title. They are three wins away from playing LSU in Atlanta and all three opponents ? Arkansas, Vanderbilt and Kentucky ? are below .500 in SEC play. Last Week: 5th.
6.FLORIDA (6-3, 4-3) - The Gators are going to South Carolina to play their old coach who dramatically turned their program into one of the elite powers in the nation, but it's not a big deal. It's not Armageddon. Perhaps they have it in the right perspective. Last Week: 6th.
7.MISSISSIPPI STATE (5-4, 2-3) ? Upset special of the week has State beating Alabama Saturday. If the Bulldogs make a bowl this season, it will be their first since beating Texas A&M 43-41 in overtime in the snow in the Independence Bowl on Dec. 31, 2000. If that happens, Sylvester Croom should be SEC coach of the year. Last Week: 9th.
8.KENTUCKY (6-3, 2-3) ? The Wildcats will get back on track at Vanderbilt after two straight losses and an open week. Last Week: 7th.
    9.ARKANSAS (6-3, 2-3) ? The Hogs may be primed for a late-season run. Last Week: 11th.
10.SOUTH CAROLINA (6-4, 3-4) ? The luster is starting to come off of coach Steve Spurrier. This team has fallen apart with three straight losses, and there could be two more on the way against No. 17 Florida and No. 20 Clemson. Last Week: 8th.
11.VANDERBILT (5-4, 2-4) - The Commodores have three winnable games upcoming against Kentucky, Tennessee and Wake Forest. Last Week: 10th.
    12. OLE MISS (3-7, 0-6) ? The Rebels are a touchdown underdog to Open. Last Week: 12th.
