Where the fallacy occurs in Martins argument is the fact that he totally ignores the new covenant that Jesus fulfilled in the new testament. Hes doing the exact same thing he accuses Christians of doing. Your using a part of the bible to prop up your view.

go so loved the world that he gave his only son, right. the world doesnt mean every single thing, he hates gays and sinners and sends them hell. do you even believe in hell or do you just skip those parts of the bible? god clearly doesnt love all humanity if he sends some of them to burn forever in hellfire.

would you send them to hell forever to burn in fire eternally? would you destroy them like god destroyed the town of sodomy because they liked to party there?

judgmental is a hard word to spell.

tolerance is part of the problem. we are all a bunch of cowards and we cant say anything when people play the "faith" card. well, i have had about enough of the lies. this thread is an effort to demonstrate the fallacy of your idea that faith is sacred. that is why you cowards do not like to address the faith that drives these lunatics to picket funerals. they are not misinterpreting the bible. the bible is clearly on their side.

hey i am perfectly willing to listen to what that means. did the new testament basically say "hey we were just kidding in the old testament?"

and clearly i am not using the bible to prop up my view. my view is that it is wrong to be a ****ing punk and picket the funerals of these soldiers. no bible is required to back up that view. simply being a non-evil human is all you need for that viewpoint. i am not the one that can use faith and lies to back up crazy ideas. my ideas have to actually make sense. weird huh.

 

lol, it didnt mean that they were just kidding with the old testament, but the application of the law is what was flawed, so Jesus said he came to fulfill the law, not to do away with it. The law being the 10 commandments that God gave to Moses, which basically was about loving God and your neighbor as yourself, which was the cornerstone of the ministry of Jesus.

And I wasnt talking about that view, I am referring to your view of about how God hates fags. God hates the sin, not the sinner, and he gives the sinner a chance at repentance, which is essentially free will

it means he loves the world as a whole, but not necessarily the bad peeps. those he sends to hell, the very same hell you believe in.

i wasnt serious. i dont believe i have the powers of wizard telepathy (prayer) and i actually cant contact the sorcerer with my mind the way you think you can. sucks to be me. i dont have the superpowers like you. but yunno i guess it is fun for you to not only be able to do telepathy but to contact the guy who made everything. amazing.

and to be fair, those protesters are only telling you that god hates fags, they didnt say they have any plans to do anything. they are just reminding us what god thinks. nice of them. i would assume that you guys like it when we are reminded what the bible says.
