alls i am saying is that assuming gays are as bad as the bible says, and deserve eternal hellfire, a little bit of funeral protest doesnt seem like a big deal. if that is an issue you are unable to address, fine, just stop replying.

 

Actually I can address, not address, quote, not quote, state I am bored or not, with or without your permission. I can also state(accurately) that you have no valid point to make. now that we are done with talking about me (thanks for that). lets talk about the bible. how can i know which parts to believe?

i am aware that it is difficult for you to stay on topic, you like me so much and want to talk about me. understandable. but maybe give it a try. do you think the mainstream american christian believes in the bible?

 

the bible doesnt say that funeral protest is wrong, but it does explicitly say that homosexuality is an abomination.

and we do know that god does kill people for the sin of sodomy. and not just the sodomizers either, but entire cities. so is the theory that god is punishing us that absurd? hasnt he done this before? how can we know that these guys are wrong?

facts:

1. god hates fags
2. god sends fags to hell
3. america defends the rights of fags
4. god has destroyed entire cities for faggery and such

doesnt seem that crazy, the idea that they are right, and also that their cause is more important than the minor concern of dignity for the families. what is a day of dignity compared to eternal burning in hell?

even if the soldiers have nothing to do with anything, it still helsp get the word out that god hates fags, and that is very important for everyone to know. or at least for people who do not want eternal burning.

obviously what i am trying to do is make folks be more aware of how faith works, how indefensible it is.

 

no doubt about that. the question then becomes, how do they know which is the magical word of god and what is the metaphor. and it appears they just choose what they like. and because that is true, then why does it matter at all where what they choose their lessons from, if the issue is the lesson, and not the source. why not take the good parts from the koran and from shel silverstein and stephen king, if the source is not infallible or really the word of god? for that matterm, why not just be aware of the fact that morality is a function of reason, and not magic?

where in the bible does it say that funeral protest is blasphemy? i can show you the places there it says that god hates fags and where god destroyed entire towns because he was angry about sodomy.

to repeat my point, you christians are dishonest cowards. you arent really willing to confront what your stupid book says. you wont even really consider you own stupid views.

that is why faith is so wrong and so stupid. it is the explicit act of refusing to think, refusing to be rational. and honestly you people should be ashamed for thinking like this, for thinking like children. you lot are not so different than these idiot protesters.

 

i just think religion is fascinating. I don't particularly believe in any deity, and if i did, it would probably be the Sun God, because the Sun is pretty much responsible for life on earth, what gets me about these people is the way they take a book like the bible and twist it to fit what they believe. I mean, me being a pro marijuana guy, i could easily say that the bible says weed is a good thing.

Genesis 1:12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

But i don't do that. These people have a right to speak out, it still doesn't make them right, and i think that is what is lost in religion, if religion doesn't teach people to be forgiving, loving, and non judgmental when people don't agree with your beliefs, then i don't want to have anything to do with it.
