well, again, the founding fathers were staggeringly less christian than modern politicians. many of the ones that matter were not christian at all and would have no chance in modern politics. he didnt say it was a problem, he said it was an embarrassment. no serious scientist questions whether evolution is true. not one. it is like questioning whether the moon exists.
Which legitimate institution or either higher or even lower learning has a serious discussion about creationism vs evolution? Wattsamatta U, maybe! Geaux Tigers
OMFG where do you get your information? Our Founding Fathers were NOT Christians. Most were Deists. You obviously don't read your own drivel. I'm not real sure where you get this information from, but a quick rather lengthy search of "intelligent design university" with your favorite search engine doesn't really support this statement. You give a roomful of academics the option to choose between evolution and intelligent design and they're going with evolution 999,999,999 times out of 1,000,000,000. (There's always at least one academic willing to sell his credibility for religious right funding.)
Nonsense. Start a new thread and I will demolish this assertion. We have trees that are over 4000 years old! I've already addressed this at length. Your scenario requires magical intervention, but there is no evidence for any supernatural forces at play, of course.
OMFG what is your problem? Try getting in touch with reality. Dipchit. from Wikipedia: Most were protestant....I admit that protestantism has suffered some severe losses since then but most people would still classify it as Christian. So which part of the "drivel" rises to the level of suggesting that a discussion on the origins of man is embarrassing to a institution of higher learnig.
again, you are being dishonest. you are portraying this as something it is not. you are not "discussing the origins of man". you are preaching nutty theories about sorcery or whatever your stupid faith is.
What do you mean, "again"? What is subject of evolution dealing with if not the origins of life or of mankind?
the word "again" in that context means that this not the first time you have been dishonest. learn to understand what words mean. evolution is the way organisms change over time. it is a fact. it explains how man developed. you are preaching religious philosophy, nothing more. if i come in here claiming that you are a child molester, it would be dishonest of me to say "what? i am merely wondering what sort of man you are! thats a perfectly fair question!!' what you are doing isnt discussing the way humans evolved. you are preaching a faith-based loony philosophy. youa re not discussing evolution. you are denying it. like a man that denies gravity exists and claims he is simply discussing newtonian physics. like the truther you are, you reframe things in a dishonest manner. i happen to believe it is because you are a genuinely despicable person.
to better illustrate what is happening: us: evolution is how man developed you : no it isnt us: what then? you : magic us: why is this more likely than evolution, which is a proven truth? you: magic lolz, i am a scyentizst lolz
The one aspect of this discussion that seems lost on me is with the never ending discussion on "How" we got here. It hardly satisfies the more pressing issue with humans. The over whelming question people seem to have in this short life time is "Why" we are here on the earth. How does science disagree with the Bible? Why does science always get lumped in with evolution simply because people are determined to speak and think in the extreme? Why do people conclude that organized religion speaks for the bible when many dogmatic statements simply are not there? Frankly, I don't see how science and the bible have much in common with either evolution or religion.
