I can't answer your question, but maybe you can answer mine - What if we had JJ and Shep in the backfield - and maybe another RB, too? Wouldn't that have a defense scratching it's head and wondering "wtf are they gonna do"? Just curious. I agree that if Shep's redshirt is gone the OC should use him more liberally. :geaux:
not sure your point here so we limit his runs in the game because we don't want to let on that we only want to use him as a RB out of the QB position? simple, have him pass every 3rd time, confuse the phuck out of the defense, and make this one of the toughest offenses to stop in the nation but that's just me
I think it's worth a shot. I just don't like the idea of removing him from a qb position... But then again, I feel like Temple is the future of QB in a couple of years
Maybe I'm not clear here. I don't mean to have Shepard lined up as a RB. I want Shepard in at QB and running those hard to defend option plays. I also would like to see out of the 15 plays I am calling for, that 2 of those get the defense duped and he throws a pass downfield instead. It's guaranteed huge gains. I pray that's what we've been doing so far this season is saving him for Georgia, Florida and the rest of the tough schedule.
We are on the same page now :thumb: That was my bad, izzy, but I follow now you and I think it's a great idea.
Yes. I like the idea of RS taking a few steps to the line and then dropping back on a fake. I think it would add to the confusion
I'm in too. He's incredibly explosive. Another option would be to let him motion in from the slot and run/pass from there.
