Boise has no real test left. Boise has a real chance to get to the BCS title game, LSU/Alabama will knock each other out, Florida could lose a couple of games and the only one left is texas. They could really be a dark horse to not only get to a BCS game which I believe they will, but also play in the championship game. Houston could too, but their schedule is much tougher.
Playing a Boise team that will almost always be somewhere in the top 15 is a HELLVA lot better then playing a Tulane or Mcnesse st
No- we have everything to lose and nothing to gain by playing Boise St. We should schedule Southern Cal where we have everything to lose and everything to gain. Lets just do a home and away with SoCal and put the matter to bed, that is unless of course you're chicken.. ldskule:
I like this... Boise doesn't give us any benefits. Play them, who really play no one in a no one conference, and there's no advantage other than to see who "should" be the No. 5? Nah... But if we scheduled OOC games like USC, then atleast for that year the BS is settled on the field... Winner gets the props they deserve and they win a huge game that either team can build upon. Just my opinion though. But it doesn't have to be just a USC, OSU, UT, OU, Nebraska Cal, Oregon... those are the tyopes of games we need, the VT game is what pushed us over the line in 07 and gave us the opportunity to add another NC to our trophy case.
agree i hate our usual OOC scheduling. it sucks ass most years give somebody worth a sh!t at least once in a while but if we play them in their stadium, i'm adjusting the color on my TV i don't care if it looks like LSU is wearing fluorescent fuchsia, the turf is gonna look green dammit!
Boise St's victory over OU in the Fiesta Bowl hasn't hurt the Sooners in recruiting or status so your point there is moot.
