Rosetta seems to think LSU should look at Tedford. Discuss...

Wonder if #LSU coach Les Miles doesn't call deposed Cal coach Jeff Tedford and see if he'd like to come in and run the Tigers' offense.

I sure hope so. I'd need some stats on Tedford to draw an opinion about him.

We definitely should separate the OL coach and OC positions. Both deserve full-time attention.

Tedford will be a head-coach somewhere, very soon. I think Cal will regret firing him.

It seems as though when Tedford has had talent that he has been successful. Aaron Rodgers, Marshawn Lynch, Desean Jackson all made it to the NFL after playing for Tedford. I think lately other teams recruiting the west coast have eroded some of the talent available to him.

I think we should go get Danny Langsdorf from Oregon State or Shawn Watson from Louisville.

I couldn't agree more. I can see having a OC that splits time as a skill position coach, but not a line coach. Personally I would like to see Kragthorpe step into the role he was initally hired to do or resign to make room for a real, full time OC.

Tedford was Oregon's OC, he's a fine coach, incidentally, he was replaced by ugh Gary Crowton. I think he's head-coach only material.

Tedford built a 1-11 Cal team that was on probation into a top 20 team almost immediately. Cal has recruited very well under him, especially on defense. Although known as a QB guru, since Aaron Rodgers, Tedford hasn't had a very successful QB. They've had good QB recruits, but for one reason or another, most were replaced before their senior year. Cal notoriously underpays their assistants, coaches leaving has hurt them. Tedford seemed jinxed to me, but Cal fans became very sick of him. That's my take anyhow.

I was going to say something similar. Either name Stud the OC and hire a line coach or move him back to O-line and hire a coordinator. The Tedford dynamic is interesting. As GDF said, he's had success developing QBs, most notably Aaron Rodgers, but hasn't really done anything since Rodgers left. I still think he's a solid coach though.
