Take home state kids that dream of playing for LSU out of the equation, the glamour and playing in the hardest conference in CFB (the SEC) is a major factor in recruiting a lot of these kids.
I don't agree with that. In state kids who are truly loyal to LSU will stay loyal to LSU, unless we drop into the Sun-Belt or something. I think we would take a hit in Florida and other SEC territories but we wouldn't drop off in Texas.
That's why I said take the home state kids out of the equation. But in other recruiting grounds I think we'd suffer, probably end up losing the recruiting battle to neighboring teams in the SEC.
No man. That isn't a job offer. It is a pandora's box. Nothing good would happen for LSU. Once the word got out, and it would get out, it would create increased strain within the SEC, within LSU independently, and only boost Big 12 headlines. Only 2 schools in the Big 10/12 carry any national recognition and have the fan base to contribute to the wealth. The remaining schools leech off of what those 2 bring in. That is why Texas and OU oppose a conference expansion just to get 2 more teams. They want another big school to offer their tit when its time to feed.
My bad, I read that wrong, my apologies. I don't want to go to the Big 12, although selfishly I would get to attend all the road games in Texas.
The conference likes to make money. LSU makes more for the conference than almost anyone. Think they would cater to us more often than not.
Hell No!!! I love SEC football. No creampuff conference for the Tigers!!!! I hate Alabama, Florida, Ole Piss etc...... and I love to hate them! Life would suck if we ever got stuck playing anything less than good ole southerners. I just may fly the confederate flag tonight. lol
Hell no. You don't run from competition and you don't cry like a bitch over one phucked up situation. You roll up your got dam sleeves and excel where you land.
Big12 is a shit conference; if LSU were to join it would still be a shit conference. Getting in bed with oil barrens? You out your got damn mind. Meanwhile, the SEC wouldn't skip a beat. Nope. How much sway did Bama have before Saban? They were up and down for quite a while.
Not to mention the first time we'd have to go up to play IOWA in snow our fans would be screaming beetches about it not being fair.
