We have 9 games of proof that our QBs are up to the challenge.

Without the Bama game, LSU's passing stats would have us pushing for 8th overall in the nation in QB efficiency (we're still 16th even with the poor Bama outing). Bama's passing stats didn't fare much better against us (0 TDs, 2 ints), so keep that in mind.

So have confidence. This isn't last year where we averaged 4 to 5 yards per passing attempt most games. As long as we can manage that 8 yards per attempt average, we'll be very effective and keep teams off balance enough to score often.

I don't think that will be the case.

If the news was correct that Lee missed classes and this was his punishment, I am betting on Lee to get the start. But we'll see. If JJ does start, I would agree that it's officially the changing of the guard at QB and it's JJ's team from here on out (in the same fashion it was Lee's team the first few games JJ came back).

Just remember, 14-0 is the ultimate goal. Maybe Lee is struggling in practice and the Bama game was too traumatic for him to overcome. Who knows. Nobody is at practice to report that kind of stuff. If JJ gives us our best chance at victory, then so be it. What's great is we have a backup plan either way we go if one QB is ineffective vs a certain team's defensive scheme. That's more than nearly all other college teams can say. It's not a bad thing to have, that's for sure.

No redshirt. He had three years to play three years. He has two years left.

I agree that we have a good problem: two mediocre QB's who can get the job done and have experience. LSU has depth all over the board this year on both sides of the ball. It is funny that we isolate the QB position, when we have had the same "controversy" as to who is the starting RB or WR all season long. Point is, I think Miles really does evaluate players week to week. He has the luxury of being able to do that due to depth. Watching the game last weekend, I do not know who called the game on ESPNU, but the one guy kept on harping about how good JJ looked during the week passing the ball. I don't know if the announcer really watched practice all week or not, but I think Miles does this with a lot of positions. I also have one other observation with JJ and JL. How many times have we heard from coaches, players and the press about how good JJ and JL look in practice? We hear that all the time, but in game time situations they are less than impressive. Any truth to the notion that they look good in practice and don't live up to that during the game?
