NO, no, no, why stay, risk another injury to play on a team that next year who knows what will happen. Take the money. The whole season I have been watching Dorsey with my heart in throat thinking he has risked his family's future to be chop blocked by Chaz Ramsey (oh Ramsey family watch out, its called karma). I hate to see any athlete hurt.
Why should Dorsey even play another down?? His worth has been established. He doesn't need to risk injury so that LSU can end up ranked 9th instead of 13th??? Seriously. Hester, Doucet, Dorsey, sit on the sidelines......

We criticize athletes when they do NOT play for the love of the game.

Now we are criticizing one of our own athletes FOR playing for the love of the game and his team mates.

KP, get you a million dollar policy from Lloyds of London and enjoy another run if that is where your heart is. He would be a great leader next year.

He probably would be granted it. Jason White from OK comes to mind that had two medical redshirts.

I'm thinking he is probably a 4-6 rounder this year. It's enough money. If he comes back and the others stay, Jackson, Favorite, Charles Alexander we will have a dominant front 4 again. With help around him I would expect a big year and maybe move his stock up to about a 3rd rounder. He probably won't go higher than that because of his injury history.

No. not at all. KP has took the long route to where he is. If he would have been healthy all four years, he may very well already be considered a top DE. Fact is that he was hurt, fought through it and is a t what is probably his top level of play now. He accoplishes nothing for himself by coming back another year, but has probably done enough to be drafted on day two and go make a NFL roster.

That's what he need to do, because that is what is best for him. It is selfish for Tiger Fans to ask anything else of him.

L.O.L. policies are for guys expecting to go in the first round. They are extremely expensive, and would serve KP no purpose because like all insurances, the payout is based on value, and his would pay far less than he could make if it finds a spot in the NFL and plays for 3 or 4 years.

Guess that puts you in the same intellectual category as Danielson and Lundquist

No. It's just logic. He has nothing to gain and everything to lose by coming back.

You are probably right about him taking the money now.

But I do think if he came back and played he would be hyped and if healthy next year would improve his draft status. Not sure how much ($ wise).

There is a reason he waited this long to ask for a medical.
