1) Lee never played as a true freshman 2) Lee threw picks to the sidelines and across the middle. 3) Lee started a game last year and played in others. He didn't show improvement. 4) It isn't OUR job as fans to know if Lee has improved or not. It's the coaches. I assume he is sucking it up in practice, or he would've won the job. 5) I can't wait until he gets some significant playing time...to see for myself what he can do now, and so this topic will die either way. And what difference does it make if the thread's stickied? If it's a hot topic, it'll stay on the front page anyway. If it's not, it'll disappear.
Well, those who have played football know that you earn starting positions and playing time during the spring and in practice....if you're not showing it there, you won't have an opportunity to show it in the game. Honestly, do you believe that if JL was doing well and showing that he is better than JJ the other 5 days a week the coaches wouldn't be playing him?
Exactly. Some fans have this idea in their heads that Les is just being stubborn and won't play Lee even though he could help. That's just dumb.
You miss the point completely. It would let the subject die and we could move on to bitching about something else.Sticky being a substitute for "relevant". How is this not obvious?
In the sense that he is part of the team. But for me, the punting is having a bigger effect than JJ. Crowton's offense is ineffective in relation to over 100 FBS programs. That's a bit kind. But I like JJ, just as I liked Lee, and I see flashes of his ability, but if he continues to struggle, for whatever reason, we need to try to change it up. If for nothing else to change the rhythm. Maybe a series or two on the sidelines would benefit him, if Crowton would bother to speak to him and point out what is happening. I accept that we are 4-0, but also believe we will have to be better to beat Auburn, Florida, bama, and Florida. I also have a huge concern of JJ getting hurt from running. Crowton has hurt all of our QBs since he got here. Ultimately, forget about fairness to Lee, it would only be fair to the team for Lee to not go in cold.
You miss the point my man. Like I said, you think "un-stickying" this thread will make the subject die? It's "sticky" because it's what LSU fans are talking about most. LSU fans aren't talking about it because it's "stickied". There is a "new topic" button that you can use to create a topic about whatever you want. Use it to pump sunshine all day long. You're free to do so. If this topic doesn't interest you, stop reading and posting in it. How hard of a concept is that to grasp?
I don't buy into this. I like our defense. They will keep us in the game. I do believe that we will need to see more from our QB but I don't view that as beyond the realm of possibility. JJ has shown flashes. If receivers catch the catchable balls and JJ can hit a couple downfield, who knows what can happen. Of course he has to throw downfield for that to happen and there's the fly in my ointment.
No actually I don't. No I don't. I think Miles playing Lee will kill the debate if he needs to be played and the subject will die, thus no sticky. You are focusing on the "sticky" thing because I said that but my intent was clearly about playing Lee, and not bitching about the thread. It's wanting the coaches to get on with it and decide. You should be less sensitive about your "stickies", cause it's just a backwards way of saying the coaches need to play Lee. Even so, it wasn't that complicated. Clearly you are sensitive about it. I have been posting and contributing to your site for a few years. Pretty sure I know how to use it. Thanks. As I said, you missed my point. I am ready, as is everyone else, to see Miles end the mystery. For some reason you have taken it personally as if I was ragging your thread. That's your prerogative, but it's silly.
Then you do believe we need to be better. I have said the same thing. I am hopeful but confidence is diminishing with each of JJ's performances. He seems to be going the wrong direction. And you have to admit, the likelihood of JJ not getting hurt is pretty low. Doesn't seem like a good way to prep Lee to me. I don't mind defending Miles and I understand that Lee could really stink it up in practice, but given the way our seasons play out with injuries, it seems short sighted to me.
