We don't see them practice, Miles does. I have to believe what he sees in practice is reason JJ is playing and JL isn't.
What I do see is the games and the bottom line is that JJ isn't getting it done, is he? So what do you do? Keep doing what isn't working or take a shot that someone else might do a better job? Lee MAY not get the job done but I KNOW Jefferson isn't getting it done.
Well let's be honest because it's the ugly truth. He has not done enough to lose a game for us, but tougher competition could force that. Perhaps he will rise to the challenge - or not. I also want to see Lee to satisfy my own curiosity and because I know Crowton is going to get JJ knocked out of a game, and I would prefer he have some real experience before it is forced upon him. If nothing else, we could un-sticky this topic and let it die.
Or we could let the people that want to post in to continue to do so and those that don't, don't have to post in it anymore. Do you think that if this post is un-stickied that the LSU QB controversy will go away?
Look, I totally see your point and I know where everyone is coming from. I also fear that we will be up against it in the "tougher" games. I also know the Tigers are not going to mail it in and we will compete viciously. I am not assuming losses.
Well, by my definition: Les is getting it done (LSU is winning) Crowton is not getting it done (LSU is offensively ineffective) Jefferson is not getting it done (LSU is #115 in passing)
The goal is to win. In that sense, he's getting it done. Crowton 's offense is ineffective relative to other teams' stats. Relative to wins and losses, the offense is effective enough. Jefferson's passing is ineffective relative to other quarterbacks' passing stats. Relative to wins and losses, Jefferson's passing is effective enough.
All the people that keep saying Lee is terrible, I have a question for them; Lee was dumped into playing as a true freshman and the coaches forced sideline passes all season long. JJ started and played most of last year, including the bowl game from the previous year and four games this year. How in the hell can anyone know if Lee has improved or not if he is not given a chance during the heart of a game?
