It’s quite bizarre that they even fired Beck at all. They are 20th in scoring offense and 15th in total offense basically without a running back. Why would you fire your OC under those circumstances?
Since someone made a topic on them, I’m going to lay this out here. Can the national media stop with this bullshit argument that our win over Texas is unimpressive? Just because they’re playing like shit now does NOT mean they played like shit against us in week 2. Their resume is worse, but their offense was almost lights out against us. That is a top-10 win, and nothing Rece Davis says is going to make Texas’s week 2 effort any less than it was.
the win over texas clearly meant something in the eyes of the committee as far as baylor in concerned. they beat texas and moved up 5 spots?
Our drop to #2 was clearly only to ensure that when they slipped the gumps in we would not play them first. Our defense against old piss gave them justification. Now that the inbred menace discussion is over they will move us back to #1 assuming we take care if business Saturday.
I just came across this from Baton Rouge sports radio this morning -- Jordy Culotta quote: "I can promise you with 100% certainty that Joe Brady never takes an offensive coordinator spot with another college school." https://twitter.com/RivsHughey/status/1201529150298894337?s=20
I don’t mind the Texas game holding less weight. Final record is more indicative than preseason rankings. Doesn’t help that our defense has sucked most of the year.
