I can’t see my dick, hell, I outlived the damn thing, but I have amazingly low cholesterol. I take statins due to diabetes and over 50. My doc says it is automatic. Sorry to disappoint but from my research, and endless conversations, heredity/genes is the big player. Once in the navy I was screamed at (yeah, navy docs can do that) about being “heavy” with low cholesterol, while the guy he had just seen was in perfect shape, but would die early due to genetics/cholesterol. Chewed out, and I was well within weight standards.
Not really, but when you make me out to be some tub o lard I have to step in and defend myself. Just cause I can stand to lose a few lbs doesn't mean I'm a fatty.
Please reread my post. I didn't make you out to be anything.I made no comment, directly or indirectly, on your weight. I got the impression from your post that you did not believe that weight had any impact on a person's level of cholesterol. The only thing my post stated was that it did.
It’s not so much weight but diet and exercise....if your genes don’t screw you. A few years ago my cholesterol was high and I needed to take statins. Like you they made me feel bad so I cut down (didn’t quit) on the butter and fat I ate. Also cut down on the sugar and my cholesterol dropped like a stone. I’m still about 25 lbs overweight, enjoy what I eat but don’t need statins at 66+
