Of course there are. Most of them could lead LSU to 10 consecutive unbeaten seasons if only given a chance. BTW as much as I like and admire Shep he hasn't shown to be a natural WR like OBJ or RB like Blue or Hilliard. I hope he finds a groove this year and all the best to him.
To be fair, even Miles had admitted to this at the end of the season before last. After seeing more of him the past season, I think the problem was TRULY, HOW? Seems like they tried even more this past season and he had a lot of drops. Maybe Miles' saying he needed to get him more involved two years ago points to him not panning out as much as we expected and he REALLY couldn't based on his skill set.
The SEC is a lot different from high school. He was a man among boys in high school. It's no surprise that some players have difficulty having continued success on the football field once they get to college. Especially with a position change, one he's never played btw. I've said it before and I'll say it again. You can't fix hands of stone. You either have it or you don't. This coming from a former WR/DB. For people to call the coaches dumb and all this other nonsense is just plain stupid. These people eat, drink, sleep, and sh*t football all day, every single day, for a living. I think they know a little more about it than some random internet idiot on a public forum. Nobody's perfect, but evidently high paid coaches are supposed to be? :rolleye33:
Shepard should be (have been) used exactly the same as McCalebb at Auburn. This is obvious to me (AN INTERNET IDIOT) but apparently not obvious to the coaches.
Don't get me wrong, I don't see Miles every throwing the ball forty times a game. That said, if we can throw it 25-30 times EFFECTIVELY then our running game only stands to benefit. I wish Miles would utilize the passing game to build a lead in the first half more then allow the running game to close out teams in the second half. We'll see.......
I don't know why everyone doubts Miles' willingness to throw the ball more frequently. They aired it out a good bit when he was at OSU (Rashaun Woods, anyone?). The over-conservatism really only surfaced the past several years when we had less-than-reliable QBs.
do you also wonder why people get confused with allison, or alison or alyson. or brian and bryan? so you say you have a 157 IQ. really?
