Or...he was, by far, the most talented all-around athlete on his high school team. Thus, he was featured all the time, but he just might not have been the most talented guy here at LSU. It happens all the time from one level of ball to the next.

There's almost no way les miles' offensive genius overlooked or misused such a skilled player. I agree.

Why would Les let him throw a pass? Let's say he does throw one and it's a lazer and he completes it, let's say it's a touchdown, can you imagine? The second guessers would come out of the woods saying shit like, I KNEW IT, SHOULD HAVE HAD HIM AS QUARTERBACK SINCE DAY 1!!!! If I'm Les that shit doesn't even come to mind. So logic says he will indeed let Shepard throw a pass in this game, haha.

I understand one level to the next, and I am not saying one man over the team. But he could have contributed more if the coordinator knew how to utilize him. He was as talented as McCluster and Harvin. He may have never been a QB. But he could have been a playmaker and a weapon. One that was holstered the majority of his time with the tigers.

Les has the gift of oblivion. He cares not for the opinions of critics and naysayers. He does what he wants. He taught the honeybadger. LOL

I suppose that he could have been a playmaker, but he was a bit small to be a true running back (small to have been a QB, either), and so they moved him to a receiver position, but he was never consistent with catching balls. Also, his breakaway speed wasn't all that impressive, either. He was often caught from behind.

I have no doubt he was a dynamic, impressive high school player, and he had some good plays at LSU. But I'm not sure he was as talented as the 5 stars before his name led everyone to assume.

Les has a history of hating small fast guys. Trindon didn't get a sniff until way late. Brazell either. It goes against his big 10 mentality and fucks up his great offensive plan. The one of predictability and slowness. God knows our dynamic offense had no place for him.

Blaming shepards lack of talent is nonsense. Its les' archaic offensive philosophy thats the real problem.
