I wish Shep the best and hope he stays. He has potential but needs to be coached correctly and work hard. I am really sorry this had hit our team so hard and I hope CLM can pull them out of it. On the issue of what is happening I think (only my 2 cents), regardless of what everyone is saying, is that this team was divided after JJ came back. Many have said Ware saw little playing time and I think it was because he was in the wrong camp. Les divided this team by playing favorites and handicapping our talent. These young men are competitors and they fight like no other LSU team I have seen, but they are young and emotional and need guidance. I think the WR and RB liked playing with JL because they were able to shine and use their skills. When JJ was in the game alot of these guys stood around and watched him play(Micheal Jordan Syndrome, without the talent). With all these talented players they need to stay involved and sad to say Les took that away so now they are hurt. Hope it gets fixed cause this is a great group of guys.Stay positive tiger fans.:thumb:
I sat behind the LSU bench for the Arkansas game, and the person who isolated himself the whole game was JL. The WR's and RB's were all sitting together--with Mett and JJ. They seemed to get along fine--even when we were down 14 points.
I did say it was only my opinion. It could very well have nothing to do with that. But more than JL started riding the pine when JJ returned. It could be from injury, grades, attitude, whatever, I was just speculating that from the comments being tweeted it seems something happened between our perfect 13-0 season and that debacle we saw in the dome. Anyway here is to a great next year.:thumb:
I'm not trying to single you out, but just letting you know what I observed. He was very much not a part of the team. Everyone else seemed to get along very well--big feeling of "team" out there. That was NOT evident at all on Monday night.
That was one thing I noticed after the SEC Champ. game in the Georgia Dome. All the guys seemed so excited as the game was winding down, they were happy to be the SEC champs, all smiles! But JL was on the sidelines pouting, away from the team. I understand it sucks not getting meaningful playing time after the good start he had, but regardless, your team just won the doggone SEC Championship, and you helped them get there. Show some pride & enjoy the ride with your teammates, don't sit on the sidelines & pout. I feel bad for the kid, but at the same time, as a coach myself, be a team player on the field at all times!
There is not a chance in hell his brother is coming here after the way his brother was treated by LSU fans. And understandably so. No I would write that one off..... This is a Booty situation X10. For those who dont remember there was a lot of bad blood between the Booty family and LSU because of the way "their sons" were treated by LSU fans. I assure you that was candy compared to what JJ went through. No LSU is not well liked in the Jefferson house. I would fully understand it.[/QUOTE] Good And I couldn't give 2 sh1ts about the booty's.
Apples don't fall far from the tree. If he emulates the attitudes and characteristics of his big brother (and I'd be willing to bet he does) then I for one don't want him anywhere near LSU!
